A Beatnik Sweater For Me!

After a crazy, hectic, fingers-aching  first holiday season of my Etsy shop, I get asked all the time if I still enjoy knitting. The answer is a resounding YES! Since starting my shop back in January of 2011, I haven't knit anything for myself so I decided to take advantage of some downtime by starting a sweater project. I have tried over the past 10+ years of knitting to make one sweater a year. I am an inpatient knitter and I usually enjoy instant gratification with smaller projects, but I have been longing to make this sweater for so long, now is the perfect time. I chose a cornflower blue color and a machine washable yarn to knit this in.

I love this sweater! It just makes me want to wear it and cuddle up with a hot cup of tea and a book.

I plan on journaling my progress, so check back soon and if you've knit this sweater please let me know. I'd love to hear comments about the pattern or link to your project.

Angela

  3. I love that picture! I too knit swift little things like toddler hats and mittens. I haven't tried a sweater yet. I look forward to following the progress. Right now I'm knitting a scarf for myself, the biggest thing I've tried yet. Mostly, I spend free time quilting and running my Etsy shop Sew in the Snow. I knit every night while watching TV. My hands feel restless now without knitting needles in them at night!
