Pumpkin on my mind...

Autumn...it's my absolute favorite time of year. I love the leaves changing color on my huge maple tree right outside my front window. I love seeing pumpkins everywhere and smelling seasonal scented candles of cinnamon and spice. Now that I work at the best tea shop in the country, SereneTeaz, I love drinking our Cinnamon Toffee tea, and our Harvest Chai Mate and our Pumpkin Harvest tea. I'm also concentrating my love of the season into my knitting styles. Here are a few of them:

Autumn Knit Pumpkin Capelet

Chunky Spice Orange Cowl

Pumpkin Cabled Hat

And here is an easy Spiced Apple Cider recipe to warm you up this season:
1 bottle Apple Cider (64oz.)
3 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon whole allspice
1 teaspoon whole cloves
1/3 cup brown sugar
Directions: In a large pot or a slow cooker, combine apple cider and cinnamon sticks. Wrap allspice and cloves in cheesecloth, tie up and add to pot. Stir in brown sugar. Bring to boil and then keep warm until serving time.
Enjoy!

Lattice Cabled Hat Set

Introducing the Lattice Cabled Hat and Gloves. I absolutely love cables in knitting. A cable stitch is made by twisting stitches in front of or behind other stitches and they give a knitted piece so much character and interest. I designed this set using a cable pattern that looks like lattice, hence the name

Windy City Lattice Cabled Hat and Gloves

I am working on making the pattern available soon.
And for any fellow knitters on Ravelry, my patterns are available there too!

A finished shawl.

I have completed my lace shawl and I love the way it turned out! It's light and soft and I think I'll be wearing it a lot. I decided to do a picot cast off to give the edge a little more detail. Here it is...

Here is the pattern on Ravelry.

A little knitting for me...

So people always ask if I still enjoy knitting since I've started my Etsy shop, and the answer is YES! I don't often knit anything for myself so when I do make time for it I spend a lot of time finding the perfect thing for me. I've chosen to knit a lace shawl, Azzu's Shawl using Twinkle Sock from Another Craft Girl in Silver. This yarn is amazingly beautiful silver and grey with little sparkling silver strands that glimmer in the light. I can't wait to wear it!

Notice the beautiful ring I have on in the last photo. It's from JeannieRichard!
It's their Metallic Black Ring and I absolutely love it!
here's a close-up of the ring

I have one in copper too, it's gorgeous.
You should check out them out, they're having a sale through July 31st.
That's all for now, I promise to post a photo of the finished shawl when it's done.
xoxo,
Angela
