For the Love of Organic Cotton
My newest passion is Organic Cotton. I have been doing some research on the subject and found many interesting facts. The cultivation of cotton dates back to prehistoric times. It has been spun, woven and dyed to cloth people since ancient times. Although cotton has been commercially produced using traditional farming methods for centuries, the use of pesticides and chemicals just like in commercially grown food crops took over. However, the return of organic farming has has allowed consumers a choice whether to wear clothing or use linens in our homes that are organic. Organic cotton is grown without pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, chemical fertilizers or any other chemicals.
The Benefits of Organic Cotton:
-No chemicals to irritate sensitive skin making it perfect for adults and children
-Absorbs moisture from our bodies in a more efficient way than polyester products
-Helps to support organic farming communities in the US and abroad
-Last but not least, helps keep the Earth beautiful and free of nasty chemical pollutants
